The Annual Jason Schechterle Scholarship Ball is awarded with the 2011 Be More Entertaining Award from the Channel 8 Be More Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Special Events.
On September 24, 2011, the 100 Club of Arizona recognized 48 amazing young men and women as the 2011 100 Club of Arizona Scholarship recipients with nearly $160,000 in continuing education scholarships. Congratulations to Captain Travis Kerr of the Phoenix Fire Department and Detectives John Justus and Ray Egea of the Phoenix Police Department for receiving the 2011 Jason Schechterle Firefighter and Officer Outstanding Performance Awards. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Dr. William Leighton for his dedication to the treatment and reconstruction of burn and accident victims, such as Jason Schechterle. Thank you for making the 5th Annual Ball a GREAT success!
